Day 01

Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa): One of the most sacred Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka, the Temple of the Tooth Relic houses a tooth relic of the Buddha. The temple complex includes a beautiful inner sanctum, museum, and ornate architecture. The annual Esala Perahera festival, held in July or August, is a major cultural event featuring processions, traditional dances, and the veneration of the relic.
