- Overview
Sigiriya, the main attraction, Sigiriya Rock, is a massive granite outcrop that rises 200 meters above the surrounding jungle. The fortress, built by King Kassapa I in the 5th century, features impressive ruins, including the remains of royal palaces, gardens, and fortifications.
